Tag For Life, True Story

tag movie 2018 ft image

Hello people, who may or may not have grown up, this review is for you. Check out my take on the 2018 movie Tag.

Tag is hard to review because it’s the kind of movie you really just need to experience for yourself. A bunch of grown men playing the same game of tag for 30 years? Sounds stupid, and you’d be right. However, it creates situations that are hilarious. If you’ve ever seen Now You See Me, and you get to the part where the trick is revealed and everything kind of falls into place and you feel satisfied? This movie has a few scenes like that because Jeremy Renner’s character is great and you can tell that his time spent playing Hawkeye has come to good use. There’s plenty of action so there isn’t a dull moment in the movie. If you like Grownups, you’ll probably like this movie.

Can kids watch Tag?

For the parents out there, just so you know, this movie is rated R. However, it is 1 hour and 40 minutes of good relatively wholesome entertainment. It has one of my new favorite actors, Jake Johnson in it. If you liked Nick Miller from New Girl, Jake Johnson plays the exact same character in this movie by the name of Randy/Chilli and I love it.

What I liked about Tag:

  • The comedy
  • Jeremy Renner
  • Jake Johnson
  • The fact this movie is based on a true story
  • The ending

What I disliked about Tag:

  • The twist regarding Susan Rollins’ character was kind of predictable

Overall, I rate this movie a 7/10. I would probably watch this movie again. Thank you for reading my take on Tag, I appreciate it. Comment below your favorite movie based on a true story.
